Will public amenities be available during construction?

During construction of the new public amenities, temporary portable toilets will be located on site and serviced regularly. Accessible toilets are located nearby in Fitzroy Oval (Coff St), Community Village and Coffs Central.

Will I still be able to book Brelsford Park for use during construction?

To ensure public safety, some areas of Brelsford Park may need to be restricted during construction. This is not expected to impact areas such as the Adventure Playground or Skate Park. To discuss your booking, please contact the Stadium and Major Events team on 02 6648 4950 or smebookings@chcc.nsw.gov.au.

    How long will construction take?

Works will commence mid-March 2018. The new toilet facilities are expected to take approx. one month to construct, thanks to the innovative pre-fab design. The new toilet facility is due for completion by May 2018. To facilitate construction of the new public amenities, the spectator grandstand will be demolished from mid-March over a three week period (approx.).  During this time, every effort will be made to keep any construction impacts (noise, vibration, dust and traffic) to a minimum. If you have any queries or concerns regarding project construction, please contact Council on 02 6648 4000 or coffs.council@chcc.nsw.gov.au.

Are road closures expected during construction?

At this stage we do not anticipate closing surrounding roads (Earl & Albany Streets). Should road closures or restricted access be required, affected residents and businesses will be advised accordingly. During construction the informal car park will be cordoned off to allow site access.

What else is planned for Brelsford Park?

Future additions to Brelsford Park under the Coffs Harbour City Centre 2031 Masterplan include a second public amenity near the skate park, amphitheatre, event space with seating and water play zone. The budget and timeframe for these additions is not yet confirmed.
