Submissions for this public exihibtion are now closed. A final report was presented to Council on the 8 August 2019 where the two revised Developer Contributions Plans were adopted.

REVISED developer contributions plans

  • Surf Rescue Facilities
  • Administration Levy & Co-ordination

Regular reviews of Developer Contribution Plans are essential to ensure they remain financially consistent for the delivery of planned infrastructure works within the Coffs Harbour local government area(LGA).

Necessary changes to the works schedules are contained within these reviewed developer contribution plans and are required to ensure that the plans are consistent with project costings, strategies, population forecasts and objectives.

By adopting the revised plans it will provide a (combined) reduction in developer contributions of $241.10 per standard residential lot.

Surf Rescue Facilities

The current Surf Rescue Facilities Developer Contributions Plan aims to provide essential storage facilities used to aid the vital operation of lifeguard services. As time has progressed the location, types of structures and variations to construction costs have been reviewed to ensure they are sufficent to cater for the growing population. The modified costs within the plan review provide adequate funding to meet these objectives.

Administration Levy

The current Administration Levy Developer Contributions Plan aims to provide the resources to administer and co-ordinate all Developer Contributions Plans for the Coffs Harbour LGA. These plans provide essential infrastructure and a direct benefit to the growing Coffs community.

The draft reviewed plans contain further details and are linked to this engagement. There will also be a hardcopy of these plans provided at the Customer Service Centre (Chambers) Building located on the corner of Coffs and Castle Street, Coffs Harbour.

In order for Council to progress these reviewed developer contribution plans, it is benefical that Council seeks Community feedback. Council welcomes any comments in relation to these plans and requests this feedback to be provided in written form.

All submissions received will be provided to Council and the submissions will assist in the final determination of the plans.
