What is the Woolgoolga Town Centre Masterplan?

The Woolgoolga Town Centre Masterplan presents a vision and strategic planning framework to guide growth and

change in Woolgoolga's town centre for the next 20 years to 2036. It is both a framework for decision-making and an

‘ideas map’ to be embraced by community, local traders, business and government to enhance and grow the heart of

the town in line with their vision:

“To grow Woolgoolga in a way that does not affect its unspoilt and unhurried beachside character, but that is proactive in supporting business growth"

What consultation was done with the community about the Masterplan?

Council’s comprehensive community consultation process began in 2014 and was delivered as a collaborative ongoing platform for the exchange of ideas and expression of aspirations to guide future of the Town Centre.

The process included a broad range of forums and media aimed at informing the preparation of this Masterplan including a community vision night, community reference group, surveys, idea maps, workshops, info sessions as well as a dedicated website. The masterplan reflects the decisions made by community which are now being implemented by Council and partners.
