Help us shape a more connected Coffs Harbour

The City of Coffs Harbour’s draft Active Transport Plan sets the vision for making it safer, easier, and more enjoyable to walk, ride and use other active transport options, like e-bikes, e-scooters, mobility scooters, and wheelchairs across the Local Government Area.

To achieve this, the City is aiming to invest between $6 million–$15 million over the next 10 years to improve active transport infrastructure – connecting our neighbourhoods, schools, and key destinations.

It replaces the City’s Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan and Bike Plan (2014–2019), responding to community feedback that walking and riding should be easier and safer for everyone.

Now, we want to hear from you to help finalise the Plan before it goes to Council for adoption.

What’s in the Plan

The Plan focuses on three key priorities:

  • Active travel to schools –crossings and routes to make it easier, fun and safer to walk and ride to school.
  • Strategic paths – connecting business centres, precincts, and destinations like parks and community and sporting facilities.
  • Missing links – closing the key gaps in our current network, especially along busy roads.

The plan sets a clear, prioritised roadmap for investment over the next 10 years and includes best-practice guiding principles to make active transport connected, safe, accessible, comfortable, and adaptable for all ages and abilities.

How to have your say

  • Read the Draft Active Transport Plan and the supporting FAQs - or watch the informational video.
  • Or if you’re short on time: read the summary document.
  • Complete the online submission form below.

Closes Tuesday 11 November 2025.

Next Steps

After the exhibition period closes, all feedback will be reviewed and a final Plan will be presented to Council for adoption.
