At City of Coffs Harbour, we value the community's input on the projects and decisions that affect our region. Every year, we conduct a range of engagement activities to inform Council’s decision-making.
This document serves as our guide to engaging with you, ensuring that we consistently seek and incorporate community feedback into our processes. It’s also a guide for you on how and when you can have your say
The key goals of the Community Engagement Strategy are to:
Keep you informed about Council services, projects and decisions.
Provide opportunities for you to share your thoughts on how services are delivered.
Involve you in decisions that affect the community.
Purpose of the Community Participation Plan
The Community Participation Plan (CPP) is a crucial part of the updated Community Engagement Strategy - you’ll find it at Appendix A.
The CPP helps ensure the planning process is transparent and accessible for everyone, and that our community's needs and values are reflected in local land use planning.
How we reviewed the documents
We’ve carefully updated the Community Engagement Strategy and Community Participation Plan through:
Refreshed look and feel, ensuring the document is clear, accessible, and easy to understand
The Community Participation Plan provided as an Appendix, making the planning content easy to find, understand and navigate.
Consulting with internal stakeholders.
