Consultation has concluded

Coffs Harbour is a growing regional city. There are many things that make living in Coffs Harbour special and we want to make sure that the growth into our urban areas enhances these qualities.

The draft Coffs Harbour Local Growth Management Strategy (LGMS) outlines how we will plan for population growth over the next 20 years, whilst protecting valuable environmental, agricultural land and neighbourhood character.

Council has prepared a Draft LGMS ‘Strategic Approach’ which sets out the introductory 1-4 chapters of the LGMS. This document provides a vision, population analysis, housing supply and demand assessment, preferred growth model, and delivery of the preferred growth model for the next 20 years.

The Strategic Approach encapsulates the results of the LGMS review, and extensive consultation with the community.

The LGMS provides an overarching strategy with separate, but related component chapters about specific land uses. Each separate chapter will have a public exhibition process over the next 12 months.

If you would like to contact staff for further information in relation to this project please call Council on 6648 4000.
