Consultation has concluded.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. We recently invited the community to share their feedback and experience via a survey regarding the impacts of natural disasters. Your feedback will be used to this risk assessment.
In the last few years, the Coffs Harbour and wider region has experienced the impacts of numerous events including bushfires, storms, the COVID-19 Pandemic and flooding.
Your lived experiences and feedback regarding the varying impact of natural disasters, where you access emergency information and support services, are vital to helping us understand how we can build a more resilient community together.
We are currently reviewing the risks associated with future disasters within our region.
The objective is to:
identify those potential disasters that pose the greatest risk of adverse consequences on our community,
understand the vulnerabilities which contribute to those risks.
This assessment is being supported by the various local and state emergency response and government agencies and will assist planning for future disasters.
