Coffs Harbour Events Strategy
Help shape the future of events in Coffs Harbour
We’re developing a long-term Events Strategy (until 2035) to guide how we attract, support and invest in events across the Coffs Harbour region.
Events play a vital role in connecting our community, boosting the local economy, and showcasing our region’s unique identity. This Strategy will help us plan for the future — making sure our calendar of events delivers real value for locals and visitors alike.
Why we're planning for the future
Coffs Harbour already hosts a wide variety of events — from major sports competitions and food festivals to community celebrations and creative arts showcases. But as our city grows, so do the expectations and opportunities for events.
We’re developing a strategy to:
Understand which events deliver the greatest value for our community and economy
Respond to changing needs, visitor trends, and market opportunities
Ensure the City invests wisely and strategically in events that matter
Celebrate the unique people, places and stories of Coffs Harbour
This strategy will also help position Coffs as a leading destination for local, regional, state, national and even international events.
What's happening now
We’re in the early research phase. This includes:
Looking at current events and infrastructure
Reviewing data and trends
Listening to local event organisers, businesses and community members
How can you Have your Say
We want to hear directly from residents, local groups, and businesses. Your input will help shape a shared vision for events in Coffs Harbour that celebrate our culture, strengthen community connections, and boost our regional profile.
Complete the online form now.
Closes on Tuesday 2 September.
Your feedback will help us plan a vibrant, exciting future for events across the City and contribute to a Coffs Harbour that’s connected, sustainable, and thriving for everyone.
What happens next
Once the feedback period closes, external consultants will review all community input alongside background research. They will then prepare a draft Events Strategy, which will be presented to Council for consideration and released for public exhibition. After the exhibition period and any final refinements, the completed strategy will be presented to Council for a final decision.
