A new playground is coming to Park Beach Reserve

We’re creating a new district playground at Park Beach Reserve and we want to hear from you!

The existing playground is nearing the end of its life and will be replaced with a new and exciting play space in a new location within the reserve.

This new inclusive, multifunctional, destination playground will be built over two stages, with $1 million in funding allocated across two financial years.

What's this consultation about?

We’re asking you to help shape what the new playground looks like by sharing your ideas and priorities.

Your feedback will help us understand what play styles, age groups, and features are most important so we can design something that reflects the needs of local families and visitors.

What’s included?

We want to know what matters most:

  • What kind of play equipment and experiences do you value?

  • What design elements (shade, seating) are essential?

  • How should we balance budget and priorities?

Get involved

These are a two easy ways to share your feedback:

  • 📝Complete our online formshare your feedback, preferences and priorities.

  • 💬 Post on the ideas wall – share your creative thoughts, photos, or comments about what would make the playground great for you and for kids.

📅 Consultation closed on Sunday 20 July.

What happens next

Community feedback will be collected in July and used in the development of draft playground designs. Later in 2025, the community will be invited to vote on their preferred design, before plans are finalised for construction later in the year.
