The City is seeking community feedback on a planning proposal to amend the signage controls within Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan 2013 to address a technicality in relation to third-party advertising signage (Advertising structures) within certain land use zones.

Specifically, the planning proposal will:

• Address an inconsistency between Coffs Harbour LEP 2013 and Coffs Harbour DCP 2015 in accordance with S3.43(5)(b) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act).
• Prohibit Signage (Advertising structures) under Coffs Harbour LEP 2013 within certain land use zones.
• Permit with consent Business identification signs under Coffs Harbour LEP 2013 within certain land use zones.
• Continue to permit without consent Building identification signs under Coffs Harbour LEP 2013 within certain land use zones.
