Planning Proposal PP_2019_COFFS_004_00 and Draft DCP Mapping Amendments: Butlers Road Bonville

Consultation has concluded

At its Ordinary meeting of 12 December 2019, Council resolved to endorse and initiate a (proponent-led) planning proposal over 75-77 & 81 Butlers Road Bonville and to seek a Gateway determination for the planning proposal from the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces to allow it to be publicly exhibited. The planning proposal seeks to amend the zoning of the land under Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan 2013 to allow large lot residential development to occur on the land. Council also resolved to publicly exhibit Draft Coffs Harbour Development Control Plan (DCP) 2015 - Amendment Number 17 (Butlers Road Bonville) involving DCP mapping amendments, concurrently with the associated planning proposal.

On the 22 January 2020, the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces issued a Gateway determination for Planning Proposal PP_2019_COFFS_004_00. In accordance with the Minister’s determination and Council’s resolution, the planning proposal and associated draft DCP mapping amendments are now publicly available for community consultation.

The exhibition period is from Wednesday, 24 June 2020 to close of business on Wednesday, 22 July 2020. The planning proposal, the draft DCP mapping amendments and all related information can be viewed in the document library on this web page.

    Council is committed to openness and transparency in its decision making processes.  The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requires Council to provide public access to information held unless there are overriding public interest considerations against disclosure.  Any submissions received will be made publicly available unless the writer can demonstrate that the release of part or all of the information would not be in the public interest.  However, Council would be obliged to release information as required by court order or other specific law.
