Consultation has concluded

At its Ordinary meeting of 12 September 2019, Council resolved to endorse and initiate two separate (proponent-led) planning proposals located within the Woolgoolga North West urban investigation area. Both planning proposals seek to amend the zoning of the land under Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2013 to allow low density residential development to occur on the land. Council also resolved to seek a Gateway Determination for each planning proposal from the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces to allow both to be publicly exhibited. Council also resolved to publicly exhibit Draft Coffs Harbour Development Control Plan (DCP) 2015 - Amendment Number 14 (Bark Hut Road and Newmans Road, Woolgoolga) involving DCP mapping amendments concurrently with the two associated planning proposals. The Gateway Determination was subsequently issued and public exhibition of both planning proposals and draft DCP mapping amendments occurred between 6 November 2019 and 4 December 2019.

Following the public exhibition process, Planning Proposal PP_2019_COFFS_002_00 at Newmans Road, Woolgoolga has since been finalised. On 11 December 2020, Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan 2013 (Amendment No. 23) was made under delegated authority by Coffs Harbour City Council pursuant to Section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. On 23 December 2020, Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan 2013 (Amendment No. 23) was published in the NSW Government Legislation website (2020, No 783), and is in effect from that date.

Planning Proposal PP_2019_COFFS_003_00 at Bark Hut Road, Woolgoolga is currently being amended to address issues raised during the exhibition process and will be the subject of a future report to Council.
