We're considering changing the frequency of Council meetings.Currently, the elected Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, with adjustments for public holidays. Occasionally, an extraordinary Council meeting is also held.

At its 27 February 2025 meeting, the elected Council considered a report to change the meeting frequency to once a month, on the fourth Thursday of the month. After hearing feedback in the community and debating the matter, the elected Council decided to seek further community input to help inform its final decision.

What will happen?

We’re now seeking community input to help inform the future meeting schedule of the elected Council - specifically to understand how the proposed change from fortnightly to monthly meetings will impact the community.

How you can get involved?

This is your opportunity to learn more about the meeting cycle of the elected Council and to share your feedback about how any change will impact you.

Complete our online feedback form - share your thoughts.
It asks how much the change will affect you and gives you a chance to explain any impact (both positive and negative).

Feedback is open until 4 June 2025.

Why your feedback matters?

Your input will help inform the elected Council’s decision on whether it continues its current fortnightly meeting schedule or changes to monthly meetings for the remainder of 2025. Council will make this decision at a meeting in June 2025.
