What do the four workshops involve?

    Attend 4 meetings across a 4-week period in Coffs Harbour, totalling 14 hours of your time

    Meeting 1: 1-2 hours Thurs 15 May 6pm – 8pm, Cavanbah Centre Rooms A&B, in person

    In Meeting 1, you will be briefed about the process, introduced to the topic (Speed, Speeding and Speed Management) and have the opportunity to get to know each other.

    Meeting 2: 4-5 hours, Saturday 17 May 10am-3pm, Level 3 River Oak Room, Yarrila Place, in person 

    In Meeting 2, the Community Jury participants will hear from a variety of experts from the road safety field, have the chance to question them, and deliberate together on information provided. At the end of their final deliberation, Community Jurors will be asked if they have any more questions for the experts. 

    Meeting 3: 4-5 hours, Saturday 31 May 10am – 3pm, Cavanbah Centre Rooms A&B, in person 

    In Meeting 3, Community Jury participants will have further opportunity to question the experts (if required) and then have the opportunity to deliberate together and to formulate a set of recommended initiatives that may be implemented in the local area to encourage safer speed behaviours.  

    Meeting 4: 1-2 hours, Wednesday  11 June 6pm – 8pm, online or in person

    In Meeting 4, the facilitator will present a report containing summaries of jury deliberations and decisions and receive feedback from Community Jurors. The facilitator will then finalise the report. Meeting 4 may be held online if suitable for participants.
