The existing children's playground at Ulong Showground is scheduled for an update to improve play opportunities for children and families residing in and visiting Ulong.

Improvements in this upgrade will include:

  • New playground and play equipment
  • Block retaining walls
  • Connecting footpath

During the construction period scheduled for July, the playground site will be inaccessible.

A community workshop was also held in Ulong on Wednesday 26 February 2025 attended by local school children and members of the community. They were invited to vote on the three proposed designs in-person. The results of this consultation will also be considered in the final decision about the playground design.
