July 2022 – Woopstock space activation

The Streets as Shared Spaces Grants program is about coming up with new ways to share our streets and improve the way we interact and move around.

We took the opportunity to connect with our community by organising “Woopstock” from 29-31 July 2022. We activated the town centre carpark and used this opportunity to test the Woolgoolga Town Centre Masterplan concept of converting this space into a public plaza or ‘village square’. Woopstock included:

• Over 1,000 People Experiencing the Space
• 9 Live Performances
• 1 International Film Showcase - Big Bike Film Night
• 4 Creative Workshops
• 4 Health & Wellbeing Sessions
• 1 Social Bike Ride
• 1 Flash Mob
