Coffs Harbour City Council plans to upgrade drainage to improve flows through sections of Orchid Road and The Boulevarde.

Works are expected to start soon on a $1.39 million drainage and road reconstruction project in sections of Orchid Road, Sun Street and The Boulevarde, Mullaway.

Coffs Harbour City Council’s funding allocation for drainage works in Orchid Road has been boosted with grant funds of $800,000 from the Australian Government’s Local Roads & Community Infrastructure Program, enabling Council to resolve an outstanding drainage issue through the provision of piped drainage, kerb and gutter and pavement works - see map of the project area in the Images section of this page.

Works are scheduled to start mid-September and take approximately four months to complete. Works will extend from the boundary of 23 and 25 Orchid Road to the boundary of 63 and 65 The Boulevarde as well as partially into Sun Street. The road will be reconstructed within this site area.

Residents will be advised in advance of any short-term restrictions on vehicular access to properties. Residents who have special access needs are asked to contact the Project Liaison Officer, Damon Leach, phone 66484406, or email to: damon.leach@chcc.nsw.gov.au

Council values the design feedback provided by local residents during preliminary consultations, and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents throughout this project.
