Consultation has concluded
The Woolgoolga Town Centre Masterplan presents a vision and strategic planning framework to guide growth and change in Woolgoolga's town centre to 2036. It is both a framework for decision-making and an ‘ideas map’ to be embraced by community, local traders, business and government to enhance and grow the heart of the town in line with their vision:
“To grow Woolgoolga in a way that does not affect its unspoilt and unhurried beachside character, but that is proactive in supporting business growth."
The culmination of more than four years of community consultation, input and feedback, Council resolved to adopt the Woolgoolga Town Centre Masterplan at its Ordinary Meeting of 22 February 2018. The Plan consists of three documents:
PART A - Town Centre Framework
PART B - Town Centre Precincts & Implementation Plan
PART C - Supporting Information
You can view the Masterplan HERE or in the document library.
The Masterplan outlines more than 24 actions to be completed across a ten year timeframe – from immediate, short-term and medium to long-term strategic actions.
Some Masterplan actions are funded within Council’s current delivery program, whilst other actions are currently unfunded and subject to resourcing either by inclusion in Council’s Delivery Program, via external grant funding or other initiatives.
This site aims to be a 'go-to' hub for latest info on what's happening in Woolgoolga and works happening to deliver the masterplan.

Day Tripping - Northern Beaches
As part of the recent Rally Australia event we promoted 'Rally Day Tripping' which included foodie and destination content for Woopi, to encourage visitors to explore the wider region between events. Council's Industry & Development team worked with Harley Ingelby to promote destination activity experiences around the region on route to the Rally spectator points. Woolgoolga was featured in the Day 1 video with imagery of the Headland, beach, cafes and the Buster shipwreck.
