To help us better understand potential flood risk, help manage flood-prone areas and ensure future flood risks are reduced we are undertaking a new flood study for Bonville Creek. This is the crucial first step of the floodplain management process and covers the localities of Bonville and Sawtell in the Bonville, Pine, and Middle Creek Catchments.
Have your say
We invite community members to share their flooding experience in the Bonville Creek Catchment.
Online - Take our short survey.
In person - come catch with us at Toormina Gardens Shopping Centre (near Woolworths) Saturday 20 April from 9am - 12pm.
Closes 3 May 2024.
The feedback along with technical studies will help guide the development of the Bonville Creek flood study. Photographs, recordings of flood depths or other relevant material that residents may have and would like to share would also be welcomed for the study
Next steps
The information provided will assist us with validating and calibrating our flood model which will be developed during stage 2 of the project.
The draft Flood Study will be placed on public exhibition for further comment likely in early 2025.
