What is a Development Control Plan?

    Development Control Plans (DCPs) provide detailed planning and design guidelines that support the planning controls contained within a Local Environmental Plan (LEP).

    Development proposals are required to meet the objectives and requirements of relevant DCP controls.

    What are Contributions Plans?

    Development contributions are a levy charged to a developer when a development will result in an increased demand for public infrastructure.

    The City of Coffs Harbour requires approved contributions plans to be able to levy these charges as a condition of a consent. The City have a number of contribution plans some of which are funding infrastructure to service the whole of the local government area and some of which service site specific areas.

    What changes will be made because of the DCP amendment?

    The draft DCP amendment includes changes to existing controls within Part G4 Coffs Harbour Jetty Business Precinct to align the development controls with the Coffs Harbour Jetty Strip Structure Plan.

    What land does this DCP amendment relate to?

    The DCP amendment relates to land located within the Coffs Harbour Jetty Business Precinct which is land along the section of Harbour Drive between Hood / Camperdown Steet and Collingwood Street in the Jetty. 

    What does the Coffs Jetty Streetscape Plan include?

    The plan provides a vision and direction for the future development of the Jetty Strip area along Harbour Drive and incorporates pedestrian movements and suggestions for cycle connectivity through the site.
