The City of Coffs Harbour is committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with legislative requirements through its policy framework. As part of our ongoing review process, several Local Policies have been updated and are now open for public feedback.

The following policies identified as Local Policies under Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993 and have been reviewed:

  • Liquid Trade Waste Policy
  • Private Sewer Pump Station Policy
  • Pressure Sewer System Policy
  • Urban Rainwater Tank Policy
  • Water Carters Policy

The revised version of these policies are available available as attachments to this page.

In accordance with Section 160 of the Local Government Act 1993, the draft Local Policies will be on public exhibition for 28 days.
Community members are invited to read the proposed updates and share their thoughts.
A period of 42 days from the start of the exhibition will be provided for written submissions to be lodged with Council.

Make a submission

We invite community members to:

  • Review each draft policy
  • Consider the list of proposed amendments
  • Make a submission with feedback during the exhibition period

Submissions can be made by:

Public exhibition closed 5pm, Tuesday 5 September 2025.

What Happens Next

After the exhibition ends, we will review any feedback and make any necessary changes to the relevant policy. The final version will then go to Council for adoption. If one or more policies do not receive feedback, they will be adopted as of 12 September 2025.
