Consultation has concluded
Earlier this year from June to July 2022, we exhibited the Draft Economic Development Strategy. We listened to community and stakeholder feedback and revised the strategy to include actions and measures that take into account broader City initiatives. The draft strategy also considers the current and future needs of our community from an economic, social and environmental perspective.
Draft Economic Development Strategy 2022-2027
The draft strategy provides direction to nurture local people and places through sustainable economic activities – attracting and retaining elements for success, supporting local business and developing current and future opportunities for our community.
Our Vision: The City of Coffs Harbour is the premier regional city of NSW to live, work, visit and do business: Where things start locally and grow globally.
Our Priorities: Three economic priorities underpin the revised Draft Coffs Harbour Economic Development Strategy 2022-2027 with the goal of ensuring the best outcomes for business, visitors and individuals:
Attract and retain necessary skills, investment and people
Support local businesses, creating economic, social and environmental sustainability
Develop existing and future business, industries and places to create a thriving economy.
Next steps
Your important feedback will be used to help finalise the Strategy before it is reported back to Council for adoption in early 2023. Once the Strategy is adopted it will be published on The City's website.
