The NSW Government and Coffs Harbour City Council are working together to renew the Argyll Estate precinct, which will provide more homes and different types of homes to meet the needs of different types of people, and help address housing affordability in Coffs Harbour. We aim to deliver new, modern social and private homes for the community along with improvements to community facilities, infrastructure and open space.
To make this happen we are investigating the possible rezoning of the Argyll Estate precinct from low-density residential to medium-density residential. This will allow for more social and private homes to be built close to shops, schools, services and transport.
The map below shows the investigation area boundary.
Community consultation
We welcomed comments during this stage of the project from 26 February until 15 March 2022. Visit www.dpie.nsw.gov.au/argyll-estate for more information.
The feedback received will be reviewed during preparation of the rezoning proposal. If Council endorses the draft rezoning proposal, there will be an opportunity to review the draft proposal and provide further feedback when plans are placed on public exhibition in the coming months.
