Planning Proposal: Additions to Schedule 5 (Environmental Heritage) of LEP 2013

At its Ordinary meeting of 13 September 2018, Coffs Harbour City Council resolved to adopt Planning Proposal PP_2018_COFFS_001_00, which seeks to include the First Sikh Temple, Lot 2 Section 35 DP 759113, 6 Hastings Street Woolgoolga as a local heritage item. The Planning Proposal was adopted unchanged.

The intended outcomes of the planning proposal will be achieved by amending Schedule 5 Environmental Heritage of Coffs Harbour LEP 2013 to include the First Sikh Temple as a local heritage item and amending the Heritage Map – Sheet HER_005F of Coffs Harbour LEP 2013.

The Gateway Determination issued by NSW Planning & Environment has authorised Council to exercise its delegation to make the Local Environmental Plan and all requirements of the Gateway Determination have been met. Council has since forwarded the Planning Proposal to The NSW Department of Planning for finalization under Section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Council received no community submissions to the PP in response to the exhibition and the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage – Heritage Branch have supported the proposal

The proposed name and amendment number of the draft LEP is - Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan 2013 (Amendment No 16).
