Planning Proposal: North Boambee Valley (West)

Consultation has concluded

The exhibition period for this Planning Proposal has now closed. The outcome of the exhibition will be reported to Council in early 2018.

On 24 August 2017, Council resolved to exhibit a Planning Proposal (PP_2017_COFFS_003_00), draft Development Control Plan (DCP) and draft Developer Contributions Plan for certain lands in North Boambee Valley (west of the future Pacific Highway bypass route), pending endorsement by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. The Planning Proposal facilitates Low Density Residential development, a review of environmentally significant land, and the provision of public open space, by an amendment to Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2013.

The documents which have been on exhibition are:

North Boambee Valley (West) Planning Proposal - which proposes to amend Coffs Habour LEP 2013;

Coffs Harbour Development Control Plan (DCP) 2015 – Chapter G8A North Boambee Valley (West) and proposed DCP mapping amendments; and

Draft North Boambee Valley (West) Developer Contributions Plan 2017.

    Submissions

    In order for Council to consider electronic submissions each submission must:
    a) contain legitimate contact details;
    b) be received by Council during the submission period; and
    c) be correctly or ‘properly’ made to include the proposal title and reasons for the submission.

    Council is committed to openness and transparency in its decision making processes.  The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requires Council to provide public access to information held unless there are overriding public interest considerations against disclosure.  Any submissions received will be made publicly available unless the writer can demonstrate that the release of part or all of the information would not be in the public interest.  However, Council would be obliged to release information as required by court order or other specific law.
