Expression of Interest - Future Use and Bookings Survey

The aim of Wiigulga Sports Complex, is to deliver an inclusive, vibrant and healthy community space for locals and visitors to gather play, compete, practice, learn, perform and celebrate.

Wiigulga Sports Complex is a community facility so we want to hear from you with your ideas on what kinds of sport competitions and community programs you might like to run or see held there; these can be programs that you are looking to run yourself, or something you just think would benefit the community.

You can also register your interest if you would like to use the Wiigulga Multipurpose Centre for regular meetings, classes or sessions.

The Wiigulga Sports Complex (WSC) project is anticipated to be completed in late 2022.

Project Overview

The Project is the development of a new integrated sport and community facility, located on the north western end of the township of Woolgoolga. The site is located on the western side of Solitary Islands Way, nearly opposite the Centenary Drive entrance to Woolgoolga High School.

The project includes:

  • Wiigulga Playing Fields: fields to cater to AFL and Cricket (seasonal users), with a tournament overlay for touch football and rugby, including 200 lux lighting, drainage, amenities and cricket practice nets
  • Wiigulga Multipurpose Centre: two indoor courts (Basketball and Netball), stage, kitchen, multi-purpose rooms, amenities and cafe
  • Civil works including roadways, shared pathways, carparks and services

The project vision for Wiigulga Sports Complex is to deliver an inclusive, vibrant and healthy community space for locals and visitors to gather, play, compete, practice, learn, perform and celebrate.
