Who is doing the study?

    • Council has engaged insideEDGE Sport and Leisure Planning to prepare the strategy.
    • insideEDGE is a Melbourne and Adelaide based consultancy company which was launched in 2008 to provide quality and innovative planning advice to the sport, recreation and leisure industries across Australia.
    • insideEDGE has delivered a significant number of local, regional and state level tennis plans. They also developed the audit tool being used by Tennis Australia to assess the condition and compliance of tennis venues across the country.
    • Co-Directors Michael Bodman and Gavin Jordan from insideEDGE will lead the research, stakeholder engagement and strategy development for this project.

    Who will be consulted?

    The study will see engagement with the following stakeholders:

    • Local tennis community – clubs, association, coaches, players.
    • Tennis NSW and NSW Office of Sport.
    • Other regional councils and tennis stakeholders.
    • Residents.

    What is happening for the first phase of stakeholder engagement?

    • insideEDGE Sport and Leisure Planning representatives will interview selected key tennis stakeholders within the Coffs Harbour LGA in addition to a few from throughout the north coast region, eg, Tennis Club Presidents and Coaches
    • A survey will be posted on this page. We encourage all players (social and competitive), players parents, and residents to take part in the survey
